Un petit message pour vous informer des efforts faits par le comité afin de régler les problèmes que vous avez soulevés dans le questionnaire complété en mars dernier.

À date, deux problèmes importants ont été considérés pour notre prochaine saison:

1.     La grosse table de billard à l’arrière de l’endroit où nous jouons sera remplacée par une plus petite, nous donnant ainsi plus d’espace pour les joueurs qui attendent leur tour.

2.    Le propriétaire nous a assuré que l’électricité pour l’éclairage proviendra d’une seule source et règlera, par conséquent, le fait que les lumières variaient d’intensité pendant la soirée.  De plus, le comité achètera 8 luminaires additionnels afin d’assurer suffisamment d’éclairage et limiter l’ombrage.

De plus, il semblerait que notre ligue de dards deviendrait de plus en plus populaire puisque, pour la saison 2009-2010, 32 membres devraient en faire partie.  Soyez assurés que les anciens membres auront la priorité tel que mentionné dans nos règlements.

Enfin, le comité étudie la possibilité d’inviter une ligue comparable à la nôtre au niveau du calibre afin de participer à un tournoi que nous pourrions répéter annuellement si l’expérience s’avérait concluante.

En terminant, soyez assurés que le comité fait de son mieux pour que la saison 2009-2010 soit des plus agréable pour vous et que nous sommes toujours ouverts à vos commentaires et suggestions.

A small message to inform you of our efforts as your committee to address problems brought to our attention in the questionnaire provided you in March of this year.

Two major problems have been addressed to date for the upcoming season, being:

1.     Room for players: in that the large pool table behind the area of play will be replaced by a smaller table which will provide a larger area for players awaiting play; and

2.    Lighting: the owner of Bar Billards Loretteville has ensured us that the electricity for the lighting over our dart boards will be provided from a single source and therefore solve the problem of the lights dimming during play. Further to this, the committee is in the process of purchasing 8 additional lighting units which will ensure adequate, bright and proper lighting with no shadows.

It would appear that our dart league is becoming more and more popular as our next season (2009-2010) should have 32 members. Be assured as always that returning members have priority over new applications, as stated in our rules and regulations.

As the majority of the players stated in the aforementioned questionnaire; the committee is looking into creating a tournament with another league from a different city. This tournament would be against a league of the same calibre as our own, and could be something of a yearly event if appreciated by all.

Be assured that the committee is doing it’s best to ensure that the next year of league play is enjoyable as always.
